Batrić Jovanović
Batrić Jovanović (1922 - 2011) was a Montenegrin Serbs, Serb politician, member of the partisan movement in World War II, and author from Montenegro. He represented Montenegro in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia parliament. Biography Jovanović was born on 3 June 1922 in the village of Donja Morača near Kolašin. He came from a farming family, and his parents were Milovan and Jelisaveta Jovanović. He finished high school in Peć in 1940 and after matriculation he entered the Faculty of Law in Belgrade. During his studies, he joined the student revolutionary movement and soon became a member of the then illegal Communist Party of Yugoslavia (KPJ). He died on 16 February 2011 in Belgrade, Serbia. Kolašin
Kolašin (Cyrillic script, Cyrillic: Колашин, ) is a town in northern Montenegro. It has a population of 2,989 (2003 census). Kolašin is the centre of Kolašin Municipality (population 9,949) and an unofficial centre of Morača region, named after Morača River. Etymology Rebecca West wrote that the district was originally named ''Kol I Shen'', which is Albanian for 'St. Nicholas', which was inhabited by Catholic Albanians who converted to Islam and who were expelled in 1858 by local tribes. History Late modern Rebecca Wests visited the town of Kolasin in the 1930s where she learned that in the 18th century, Catholic Albanians and Orthodox Montenegrins lived in peace.
