Bas (rapper)
Abbas Hamad (born May 27, 1987), better known by his stage name Bas, is an American rapper. He is signed to J. Cole's Dreamville Records via Interscope Records. His first studio album ''Last Winter'', was released on April 29, 2014, followed by his second studio album, ''Too High to Riot'', which was released on March 4, 2016. Bas' third album, ''Milky Way'', was released on August 24, 2018. Bas was born in Paris, France, in 1987, to Sudanese parents. At the age of 8, his family moved to New York City. He attended St. Francis Preparatory School in Queens, New York. The Mod Club
The Mod Club Theatre (commonly called Mod Club) was an entertainment venue in Toronto that operated from 2002 to 2020. Its address was 722 College Street, which is in the city's Little Italy neighbourhood. Founded by Platinum Blonde frontman Mark Holmes and fellow English-expat Bobbi Guy, the venue hosted live performances and DJ nights. Overview Mod Club Theatre had a 618 person capacity and a stage that was 24 feet wide x 18 feet deep. Its interior was accented with murals featuring images of 1960s mod subculture. Concert-goers could watch acts from the floor, the tables to the side of the room, or the second floor balcony. Curtis James Jackson III (born July 6, 1975), known professionally as 50 Cent, is an American rapper, actor, and businessman. "Tribe" is a song by American rappers Bas and J. Cole. It was released on August 22, 2018, as the second single for Bas's album ''Milky Way''. The song was produced by Childish Major with additional production from J. Cole, and contains a sample of "Zum Zum" performed by Edu Lobo. Background On August 18, Bas was on Instagram live previewing songs from his album, which was due on August 24. One of the snippets was from "Tribe" showcasing "an up-tempo, percussive instrumental," and later revealing the release date of the single. The song is the ninth collaboration between the two Dreamville artists, including "My Nigga Just Made Bail", "Lit" and "Night Job", among others. When talking about J. The Hics
The Hics are an English Electronic band formed in London in 2012 by Sam Paul Evans and Jacob Welsh. Originally a two piece electronic indie band, the band was soon joined by Matt Knox on bass, Roxane Barker on vocals, Geordan Reid-Campbell on guitar and David Turay on saxophone. They released their first EP, ''Tangle'', in 2013. History The band members met at Pimlico School, now Pimlico Academy, whilst on the music programme. The Hics were originally formed as a two piece electronic indie band between Evans and Welsh, and were later joined by Matt Knox on bass. ''Revenge of the Dreamers'' is the first compilation album by American record label Dreamville Records and was released on January 28, 2014. The album includes contributions by Dreamville artists, J. Cole, Bas, Omen, K-Quick as well as Treasure Davis. Producers on this album include, J. Cole, Omen, Ron Gilmore, Cedric Brown, K-Quick, and Jay Kurzweil.
