Barão
Barão is a municipality in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It includes the districts Arroio Canoas, Francesa Alta, General Neto and Francesa Baixa. Barão is 80 km from Porto Alegre. The municipality is bordered by Carlos Barbosa (north), São Vendelino (east), Bom Princípio (southeast), Tupandi (southeast), São Pedro da Serra (south), Salvador do Sul (southwest), Poço das Antas (southwest), and Boa Vista do Sul (northwest). The residents are primarily of German Brazilian descent. Carlos Barbosa
Carlos Barbosa is a town in the wine country in Rio Grande do Sul state, Brazil. It is situated at 29º17'51" South and 51º30'13" West, at an altitude of 676 meters. Its population was estimated in 2020 to be 30,241 inhabitants. It has an area of 208,16 km sq. The city is linked by railroad line to Bento Gonçalves, Rio Grande do Sul, Bento Gonçalves and thMaria Fumaçatourist train runs between both cities. Tupandi
Tupandi is a municipality in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.It has a population of approximately 4,500 inhabitants and covers an area of 47.4 square kilometers (IBGE, 2021). The municipality is situated in the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre, and it is located approximately 80 kilometers west of the state capital. One of the main economic activities in Tupandi is agriculture, with the production of fruits, vegetables, and dairy products being the most prominent. The municipality is also home to some industries, such as a shoe factory and a paper and pulp company (Prefeitura de Tupandi, n.d.). The history of Tupandi dates back to the late 19th century when German immigrants began settling in the area.
