Barry Lambert
Barry Lambert (born 1981) is an Irish former hurler. At club level he played with St. Martin's and was also a member of the Wexford senior hurling team. He usually lined out as a forward. Career Lambert first played at juvenile and underage levels with the St. Martin's club. He later joined the club's top adult team and won County Championship titles in 1999 and 2008. He also lined out with St. Peter's College at colleges level and with Dublin Institute of Technology in the Fitzgibbon Cup. Lambert first appeared on the inter-county scene at minor level with Wexford before lining out in the 2001 All-Ireland under-21 final defeat by Limerick. His underage performances saw him drafted onto the Wexford senior hurling team in 2001. Over the course of the following decade Lambert was a regular on the team and won a Leinster Championship medal in 2004. A shoulder injury brought his inter-county career to an end in 2009. St Martin's GAA (Wexford)
St Martin's GAA club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Murrintown in the Parish of Piercestown, County Wexford, Ireland. The club was founded in 1932 and fields teams in both hurling and Gaelic football. The women's arm of the club fields teams in both camogie and ladies' Gaelic football. History The club was founded in 1932 although an earlier club bearing that name, and playing in black in white, was established in Murrintown in 1912. It lost the county junior football final of 1913 and then, in 1914, it changed jerseys to green and yellow and its name to Michael Dwyers. The current club was established at a meeting in Piercestown National School in 1932. The Limerick County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) ( ga, Cumann Lúthchleas Gael, Coiste Chontae Luimneach) or Limerick GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland, and is responsible for Gaelic games in County Limerick. The 2001 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship was the 38th staging of the All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county hurling tournament for players under the age of twenty-one. The championship began on 6 June 2001 and ended on 16 September 2001. Limerick were the defending champions. On 16 September 2001, Limerick won the championship following a 0-17 to 2-10 defeat of Wexford in the All-Ireland final. The Leinster GAA Hurling All-Ireland Under-20 Championship known simply as the Leinster Under-20 Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in the province of Leinster. The National Hurling League is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition featuring teams from Ireland and England. Founded in 1925 by the Gaelic Athletic Association, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the league system. The league has 35 teams divided into six divisions, with either five or six teams in each division. Promotion and relegation between these divisions is a central feature of the league. DIT GAA or Dublin Institute of Technology GAA was a Gaelic Athletic Association University Club in Dublin Institute of Technology County Dublin, Ireland. DIT's men's Gaelic football team compete in the Sigerson Cup and the O'Byrne Cup. DIT won its first Sigerson Cup in 2013, defeating UCC in the final by 3-08 to 0-08.
