2001 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship
The 2001 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship was the 38th staging of the All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county hurling tournament for players under the age of twenty-one. The championship began on 6 June 2001 and ended on 16 September 2001. Limerick were the defending champions. On 16 September 2001, Limerick won the championship following a 0-17 to 2-10 defeat of Wexford in the All-Ireland final. This was their second All-Ireland title in succession and their third title overall. Limerick's Mark Keane was the championship's top scorer with 3-29. Timmy Houlihan
Timmy Houlihan (born 9 March 1982 in Adare, County Limerick) is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Adare and was a member of the Limerick senior inter-county team at various times from 2001 until 2005. Playing career Club Houlihan plays his club hurling with his local club in Adare and has enjoyed much success. He came to prominence with the club as a member of the minor team in the late 1990s. He won a minor county title in 1998 following a victory over Croom. Houlihan added a second consecutive minor title to his collection in 1999 following a win over Patrickswell in the county final. He later joined the club's under-21 team and won a county title in that grade in 2000. Houlihan subsequently became a star goalkeeper on the club's senior team. Austin Stack Park is a GAA stadium in Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland. It is one of the stadiums used by Kerry GAA's Gaelic football team and the stadium of the hurling team. Munster Under-21 Hurling Championship
The Munster GAA Hurling Under-20 Championship, known simply as the Munster Under-20 Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in the province of Munster. The championship was contested as the Munster Under-21 Championship between 1964 and 2018 before changing to an under-20 age category from 2019. It is sponsored by Bord Gáis Energy. The final, currently held in July, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during a three-week period, and the results determine which team receives the J. J. Wexford () is the county town of County Wexford, Ireland. Wexford lies on the south side of Wexford Harbour, the estuary of the River Slaney near the southeastern corner of the island of Ireland. Wexford Park
Chadwicks Wexford Park is a GAA stadium in Wexford, County Wexford, Republic of Ireland. It is the home of Wexford GAA's Gaelic football and hurling teams. After a recent development the ground has a capacity of about 18,000. It is located in the Clonard area on the outskirts of Wexford Town, and although the ground does not have floodlights it regularly hosts evening matches during the brighter summer months. In 2015 a local technology company, Innovate Business Technology, signed a deal for the naming rights to the stadium. The new name unveiled was Innovate Wexford Park.
