Barroz
''Barroz'' is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language fantasy film directed by actor Mohanlal in his directorial debut. It is based on the novel ''Barroz: Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure'' by Jijo Punnoose, and produced by Antony Perumbavoor of Aashirvad Cinemas. It stars Mohanlal in the titular role, with Maya, Cesar Lorente Raton, Kallirroi Tziafeta, Tuhin Menon, and Guru Somasundaram in other significant roles. The original score was composed by Mark Kilian, with songs by Lydian Nadhaswaram. Principal photography for the film began in March 2021 with a screenplay by Punnoose. However, it was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, prompting significant changes to the story, screenplay, and cast. Mohanlal and T. K. Rajeev Kumar collaborated to rewrite the scenes, characters, and locations, leading to Punnoose's exit from the film and forfeiting his credits. Jijo Punnoose
Jijo Punnoose is an Indian film director, producer and actor from Kerala. He is best known for directing the two landmark films in Malayalam cinema'' Padayottam'' (1982) and ''My Dear Kuttichathan'' (1984). He is the eldest son of producer Navodaya Appachan. Jijo directed ''Padayottam'' was the first indigenously shot 70mm film in India, and ''My Dear Kuttichathan'' is the first 3D film in India. Lydian Nadhaswaram
Lydian Nadhaswaram (born 5 September 2005) is an Indian musician from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. In 2019, he appeared on ''The World's Best'' on CBS and won, earning a prize money of $1 million. Early life Lydian is born to Varshan Satish, a Tamil music director, and Jhansi as their second child. At the age of two, he started performing on the drums and at eight he taught himself to play the piano. He is a student of Augustine Paul, the Music Director of the century-old Madras Musical Association Choir. ''My Dear Kuttichathan'' () is a 1984 Indian Malayalam-language fantasy film directed by Jijo Punnoose and produced by his father Navodaya Appachan under Navodaya Studio. It was the first Indian film to be filmed in 3D format. With screenplay by Raghunath Paleri, the story revolves around a mystical indigenous Genie called " Kuttichathan" who is under the spell of an evil sorcerer, however it gets released by three children and then befriends them.
