Barney Maddison
Barney Maddison (born 22 February 1989) is an English rugby union player who plays for Ealing Trailfinders in the RFU Championship. He originally played for Rotherham Titans who were in the RFU Championship, making his first-team debut against Bedford Blues in a Championship match in September 2011. He captained the Titans during the 2015–16 season at Vallis Way. Maddison's first season with London Welsh, scoring one try in 13 matches since joining from Rotherham Titans in 2016. In December 2016, Maddison left Welsh with immediate effect to sign an 18-month deal with Ealing Trailfinders in the Greene King IPA Championship, with the lock managing 1 try from 12 appearances in that time. On 18 May 2018, Maddison left Trailfinders to sign for London Irish from the 2018–19 season. Hexham

RFU Championship
The RFU Championship is an English rugby union competition comprising twelve clubs. It is the second level of men’s English rugby and is played by both professional and semi-professional players. The competition has existed since 1987, when English clubs were first organised into leagues. Organisation and format The Championship is governed by the Rugby Football Union (RFU). The current competition format is a double round-robin tournament, where teams play each other home and away. The 2021-22 season had no playoff phase, and no team was promoted to the Premiership as no team met the minimum standards criteria. Ealing () is a district in West London, England, west of Charing Cross in the London Borough of Ealing. Bedford Blues
Bedford Blues are a rugby union club in the town of Bedford, England, currently playing in The RFU Championship. Bedford is one of the few towns in England where the rugby club is better supported than the football team. The Blues are a semi-pro team, with a mix of experienced and young players. The Blues are coached by Mike Rayer. History Foundation and 19th century Bedford RUFC was founded in 1886 after an amalgamation between Bedford Rovers (1876) and Bedford Swifts (1882). Both parent clubs had close connections with Bedford School and Bedford Modern School, and both had fixtures with the leading teams of the period. London Irish RFC is a professional rugby union club which competes in the Premiership, the top division of English rugby union. The club has also competed in the Anglo-Welsh Cup, the European Champions Cup and European Challenge Cup. While playing in the Championship in 2016–17 and 2018–19, it also played in the British and Irish Cup and RFU Championship Cup. Ealing Trailfinders Rugby Club is an English professional rugby union club based in West London. The club's first team are the current champions of the RFU Championship but will remain in that league due to ineligibility for promotion to Premiership Rugby. They were promoted to the league after they won National League 1 in 2014–15. Structure of the club The club's registered playing name with the RFU is Ealing Trailfinders.
