Barbara Nanning
Barbara Nanning (born January 3, 1957, The Hague, Netherlands) is a Dutch sculptor, ceramicist and glass artist. Life Nanning studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy from 1974 to 1979 under Harry op de Laak, Jan van der Vaart, and at the Rijksacademie in Amsterdam in 1978.Nanning, Barbara at capriolus.nl. Accessed 24.05.2015. In 1978–79 she started her own studio in Amsterdam-West, which she shared with until 1981, and Irene Vonck from 1981 to 1984. Keramiekmuseum Princessehof
The Princessehof Ceramics Museum (in Dutch: Keramiekmuseum Princessehof) is a museum of ceramics in the city of Leeuwarden in the Netherlands. The museum's name comes from one of two buildings in which it is housed: a small palace ( means ‘royal court’) built in 1693 and later occupied by Marie Louise, dowager Princess of Orange. The other annexed building is the Papinga stins, a former stronghold from the 15th century. The museum buildings are of interest, and so are its collection of tiles, pottery, and ceramic sculpture. History of the building In 1731, the building was purchased by Marie Louise (known in Leeuwarden as ''Marijke Meu'', 'Aunt Mary'), who had been a widow since 1711 and acted as regent for her son William IV up to that year, when he came of age. She moved in and began a collection of ceramics, and her collection forms part of the museum's collection, most notably in the Nassaukamer, a period dining room in Baroque style. Driebergen
Driebergen is a former village and municipality in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is first mentioned as Thriberghen in 1159. The former municipality of Driebergen existed until 1931, when it merged with Rijsenburg, to create the new municipality of Driebergen-Rijsenburg.Ad van der Meer and Onno Boonstra, "Repertorium van Nederlandse gemeenten", KNAW, 2006.
