Lies Cosijn
Alida "Lies" Meijers-Cosijn (25 April 1931 – 23 February 2016, Petten) was a Dutch ceramist. Her work is described as "fairytale like and poetic, but also sometimes bizarre and realistic." Life and work Born in Mojokerto, Cosijn returned with her family to The Netherlands in 1946. Life

Jan van Gemert was born in Gemert, the third of twelve children. His father was Marinus van Gemert (1894–1978), an ex-sergeant and worker in the textile industry. His mother, Dora Gruijters (1894–1982), originated from a gardening family. At the age of 13, Jan becomes involved in an accident, and he was missing a leg. Three years later he enrolled in the management program of the Catholic Workers Union in Helmond, where he graduated in 1940. Guido Geelen
Guido Jozef Marie Geelen (born 5 May 1961 in Thorn, Netherlands) is a Dutch sculptor, furniture designer and ceramist, who lives and works in Tilburg.Biographical data

Life and work

Geelen attended the Teachers' Academy in Tilburg from 1979 to 1983 and the Academie voor Beeldende Vorming Tilburg (ABV) from 1983 to 1985. After graduation, he started his own studio in Tilburg. Geelen works primarily with clay. He creates images full of contradictions: order and chaos, severely and baroque, artisanal and industrial, simple and complex, art and kitsch. Many of his sculptures are constructed from clay reproductions of all kinds of objects: car tires, urinals, computers, televisions or vacuum cleaners. Chris Fokma
Christiaan Willem "Chris" Fokma (Oranjewoud, 27 March 1927 - Carhaix-Plouguer, 12 December 2012) was a Dutch sculptor and ceramist. Life and work Fokma attended the Hogere Burgerschool (HBS), and studied architecture for one year at the Delft University of Technology, but then switched to the Rijksacademie in Amsterdam. He attended classes by Piet Esser. In 1957 he settled in Leeuwarden, where he spend his entire career. In 1961 he married Anneke Brouwer, who was his agent. After her death in 1998, he quit almost all his activities as an artist. In 2005 he retired to Brittany, France, where he died late 2012. In addition to free-standing sculptures of bronze or ceramic, Fokma made several wall reliefs, which were usually performed in ceramics, copper or stainless steel. In the 1980 Fokma also started to make sculptures of plexiglass. His Plexiglas wall reliefs were often combined with stainless steel. Dirk Cornelis "Dick" Elffers (Rotterdam, 9 December 1910 – Amsterdam, 17 June 1990) was a Dutch artist.Elffers, Dick ''Vorm en tegenvorm: poging tot een portret van een ontwerper'' (1976) uitg. Lydeke von Dülmen Krumpelmann (born Groningen, 24 August 1952) is a Dutch sculptor and ceramist. Von Dülmen Krumpelmann is the daughter of artist Erasmus Herman von Dülmen Krumpelmann and illustrator Marieke Eisma. She started working as a ceramist in 1972. Jan Van Druten
Martinus Johannes (Jan) van Druten (Nijmegen, 4 April 1916 – Amsterdam, 18 July 1993) was a Dutch painter, sculptor and ceramist. Life and work Van Druten was initially cafe owner in Nijmegen. He studied, with some interruptions, between 1939 and 1949 at the Rijksacademie in Amsterdam and devoted himself to painting. According to the Netherlands Institute for Art History in 1946 he won the Prix de Rome. He was a member of the Algemeen Kristelijk Kunstenaarsverbond (General Catholic artists association). Van Druten bought in 1963 a condemned house in Schellinkhout, which he renovated into a house and workshop. In 1965 he switched to sculpture. His images were collected after his death and on loan to the municipality Venhuizen. Dora Dolz
Dora Dolz de Herman (Barcelona, 5 November 1941 - Rotterdam, 1 March 2008) was a Spanish-Dutch artist, best known for her outdoor ceramic works in the form of chairs and sofas. Life and work Dolz grew up in Barcelona, where her father had a booth at the flea market. Theo Dobbelman
Theodorus Antonius Hubertus Maria (Theo) Dobbelman (Nijmegen, 22 October 1906 – Montalivet-les-Bains, France, 7 September 1984) was a Dutch sculptor, ceramist and painter. Dobbelman came into prominence as ceramist and leader of the experimental division of De Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles in Delft since 1956. He also taught at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Amsterdam. Biography Early life Dobbelman (also: Dobbelmann) was the son of soap maker and politician Pierre Dobbelmann. He initially studied chemistry at the Swiss Fribourg, where he also graduated. He settled in Amsterdam, where he befriended ceramist Just van Deventer. Sophie Van Der Does De Willebois
Jkvr. Johanna Maria Sophia (Sophie) van der Does de Willebois ('s-Hertogenbosch, 26 November 1891 – Utrecht, 11 March 1961) was a Dutch ceramist. Life and work Van der Does de Willebois studied at the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam, where she took painting lessons from Richard Roland Holst. In 1919 she married Adriaan van Stolk (1883-1926). She moved with him to the Canary Islands. They had two children together, Jan van Stolk, who later became a ceramist, and Romualda Bogaerts, who would become a sculptor. In 1925 the family moved to Italy, where it settled in Vietri sul Mare. Van der Does purchased a local factory in maiolica. After the death of her husband in 1926, she worked with the Italian Luigi de Lerma (1907-1965) in the firm. Van der Does abolished the company in 1928, and moved with the children to the Netherlands. Lerma became the director of "Ceramica Icara" on Rhodes.
