Bantum
Ruairí Lynch (born 5 October 1983), known by the stage name Bantum, is an Irish multi-instrumentalist, musician, DJ, producer and composer. Early life Lynch grew up in Cork. He has no formal music training, having studied Business Information Systems in University College Cork. The Chemical Brothers were an early inspiration. Career Lynch began making music in Dublin in 2010. The name "Bantum" originated as a mishearing of the wrestling term "bantamweight." He composed music for the short ''Little Bear'' (2015). Bantum released the album ''Move'' in 2016, which was nominated for the prestigious Choice Music Prize. Farah Elle
Farah Elle (born 1994) is an Irish born Libyan singer-songwriter. Career Farah Elle played her first headline gig at Sin É, Dublin in 2016. She played at the 2016 KnockanStockan music festival. She collaborated with CunninLynguists on the single ''Oh Honey'' and with Bantum on ''Feel It Out''. She performed with at the 2019 Mother Tongues festival at Rua Red. In 2019, Farah Elle released a single, ''Play For Keeps'', with MuRli, and collaborated with Bantum, Ben Bix and God Knows on the single ''Strongest Thing''. She was one of the artists who performed as part of the Conservatory Sessions run by Pine The Pilcrow in 2019. For the 2020 Nollaig na mBan celebrations in EPIC the Irish Emigration Museum, Elle performed alongside Tara Flynn and Chiamaka Enyi-Amadi. Her debut album, ''FATIMA'', is due for release in 2020. Little Bear is a short drama film written by Daire Glynn and directed by both Daire Glynn and Ger Duffy. The film was produced by Felipa Robertson with U2's The Edge featuring as one of the film's Executive Producers. Ivor Noyek designed the artwork for one of the film's promotional posters. The Choice Music Prize (), known for sponsorship reasons as the RTÉ Choice Music Prize is an annual music prize awarded to the best album from a band or solo musician who is born in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland or holds an Irish passport. For bands, the majority of members must have been born in the island of Ireland or hold an Irish passport. Since it first began in 2005, the main awards ceremony had been broadcast live on the Irish independent and national radio station, Today FM, every March with the exception of the 2014 ceremony which took place on 27 February 2014 and it is also held in Vicar Street, Dublin with the exception of the 2012 ceremony which was held in the Olympia Theatre (Dublin). Cork ( , from , meaning 'marsh') is the second largest city in Ireland and third largest city by population on the island of Ireland.
