Bangsamoro Cabinet
The Bangsamoro Cabinet is part of the local government of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao of the Philippines. It is currently being led by Chief Minister Murad Ebrahim. Ebrahim made his first set of appointments to the cabinet in February 2019 during the official turnover of the former Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao to the succeeding Bangsamoro regional government. As per the Bangsamoro Organic Law, there shall be at least one female member of the Cabinet. The interim cabinet was tasked in drafting the eight government codes of Bangsamoro. Murad Ebrahim
Ahod Balawag Ebrahim (born 15 May 1949), better known as Al-hajj Murad Ebrahim, is a Moro Filipino politician and former rebel leader currently serving as the first chief minister of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. As the current chairman of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, a Moro regionalist and Islamist armed group in the southern Philippines, Ebrahim is a key figure in the Bangsamoro Peace Process in the Philippines. Early life and education Born on 15 May 1949, Murad Ebrahim was born to an Islamic preacher. He lost both of his parents at a young age; his mother when he was just one year old and his father when he was 13 years old. He is the youngest among four children. The Ministry of Public Works (MPW), is the regional executive department of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) responsible for affairs relating to the construction and maintenance of government infrastructure in the region. History When the ARMM was succeeded by the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) in 2019, the regional departments of the former Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao were reconfigured into ministries of Bangsamoro. The Ministry of Public Works succeeded from the ARMM regional office of the Department of Public Works and Highways. Naguib G. Sinarimbo (born January 31, 1972 in Pigcawayan, Cotabato) is a Filipino lawyer and politician who serves as the Local Government Minister of Bangsamoro. Prior to the establishment of the Bangsamoro region, Sinarimbo served as consultant and resource person for the Philippine national government, armed non-state organizations, and non-governmental organizations. He was part of the Legal and Technical Working Group of the MILF Peace Panel which was involved in Philippine national government's peace negotiations with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). Muslimin Gampong Sema (born April 27, 1949), also known as Mus Sema, is a Filipino politician who is the current minister of labor and employment of the Bangsamoro autonomous region, Philippines since March 8, 2022. He has also been the former mayor of Cotabato City and a member of the Moro National Liberation Front. Education Sema finished his elementary grade at Sero Elementary School (1957-1963) in Cotabato and his secondary school years at Cotabato High School (1963-1967).
