Bangladesh Military Museum
Bangabandhu Military Museum is a military museum of Bangladesh. Administered by the Bangladesh Army, the museum is located right beside the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novo Theatre at Bijoy Sarani of the capital Dhaka. The museum has a collection of Bangladesh's military history, heritage, success stories and various weapons and ammunition. History The museum was established in 1987. It was permanently moved in its current location at Bijoy Sarani in 1999. It has a collection of vehicles and weapons rescued from the then Pakistani army after the Liberation war of Bangladesh. Design and layout The museum is a joint venture project of, Ali Imam (Architect), Nakshabid Architects (an architectural consultancy firm), Design Work Group (DWG), Mukta Dinwiddie Maclaren Architects (MDM) combinedly worked on the museums interior and exterior. Farmgate
Farmgate is a area in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. It is one of the busiest and most crowded areas of Dhaka city. From the early 90s', the area has seen the massive building and construction boom. Consequently, the area has gained commercial importance and has become one of the major transportation hubs of Dhaka from where anyone can travel to all other parts of the city as well as throughout the country. Line 6 of the Dhaka Metro Rail has a station there. Today Farmgate has become more of a commercial area than a residential area. The Bangladesh Army is the land warfare branch and the largest component of the Bangladesh Armed Forces. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novo Theatre is a planetarium on Bijoy Sharani Avenue of Tejgaon area in Dhaka, Bangladesh. History The Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novo Theatre opened to public on 25 September 2004. It was previously named Bhashani Novo Theatre. It was made autonomous by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Novo Theatre Bill 2010. The space center was commissioned by the Ministry of Science and Communication Technology of the Government of Bangladesh. Description Built on 5.46 acres of land, its spaces range in size from its 21-meter dome, seating 275 people; to three-meter inflatable and portable domes where people sit on the floor. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman ( bn, শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান; 17 March 1920 – 15 August 1975), often shortened as Sheikh Mujib or Mujib and widely known as Bangabandhu (meaning ''Friend of Bengal''), was a Bengali politician, parliamentarian and the founding leader of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. Augmented reality (AR) is an interactive experience that combines the real world and computer-generated content.
