Bangladesh Administrative Service Association is an association of administration cadre of Bangladesh Civil Service. Kabir Bin Anwar is the President of the association and Md. Khalilur Rahman is the general secretary. History Bangladesh Administrative Service Association was established on 19 April 1981 for the administration cadre of Bangladesh Civil Service. The chairperson of the association is also the chairperson of the BIAM Foundation. On 29 October 2007, the Caretaker Government provided immunity to executive magistrates from prosecution following negotiations between the government and the association. The association opposed the separation of the judiciary and the executive which the Caretaker government was trying to do. Their actions were criticised by the Bangladesh Judicial Service Association. Bangladesh Civil Service ( bn, বাংলাদেশ সিভিল সার্ভিস ), more popularly known by its acronym BCS, is the civil service of Bangladesh. Civil service in the Indian subcontinent originated from the Imperial Civil Service which was the elite higher civil service of the British Empire in India during British rule in the period between 1858 and 1947. After the partition of 1947, East Bengal became a province of Pakistan, so it was Central Superior Services of Pakistan which later after the independence of Bangladesh in 1971 became known as Bangladesh Civil Service. Kabir Bin Anwar
Kabir Bin Anwar (born 4 January 1964) is a retired Bangladeshi civil servant. He was the 23rd Cabinet Secretary of Bangladesh Government, serving for a short period of time from 15 December 2022 until he went to post-retirement vacation 3 January 2023. Prior to that, he was Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Water Resources. Anwar is the chairperson of the Board of Directors of Centre for Environmental and Geographic Information Services. Bangladesh Police Service Association - BPSA is the association of the BCS cadre police officers of Bangladesh. Ghoraghat ( bn, ঘোড়াঘাট) is an upazila of Dinajpur District in the Division of Rangpur, Bangladesh. History Ghoraghat was established in the time of Bakhtlar Khilji (see Blochmanu's Contr., J.A.S,1873, p. 215, Tabaqat-i-Nasiri, p. 156, Ain-i-Akbari, Vol. II, p. 135 and Vol. I, p. 370). Serniabat Sadiq Abdullah is a Bangladeshi politician and businessman. He was elected as mayor of the Barisal City Corporation in 2018 city election.
