Banda Machos
Banda Machos is a Regional Mexican band originally from Villa Corona, in the state of Jalisco. The band specializes in the Technobanda genre. They are best known for popularizing the Quebradita dancing style that became popular in the 1990s in Mexico and the United States. Their songs are often satirical, filled with sexual innuendos and of double entendres. Some of these include "Las Nachas", "Me Llamo Raquel", "El Próximo Tonto" and "La Manguera", "Sigues Siendo La Reina". The band has been together for over 30 years and has recorded over 29 albums. History Early Years (1990-1992) The band was formed in 1990 with 12 members. They recorded and released their first album, ''Serian Las Dos'', on cassette the following year in 1991. Villa Corona
Villa Corona is a town and municipalities of Jalisco, municipality, in Jalisco in central-western Mexico. The municipality covers an area of 179.37 km². In 1160, several families left Aztlán, forming two large migrant groups. One group went to the north of what is now Jalisco, and the other group towards the Pacific Ocean, Pacific region. The group that migrated towards Jalisco arrived at what is now Villa Corona in approximately 1250. One of the tribes decided to stay for their love of hunting and fishing. They were promptly accepted by the locals, all thanks to their peaceful and pacifist ways. It is likely that during these days the name ''Tizapanito'' (initially ''Tizapantzinco'') was conceived, a name which means ''place on the white land''. Luis Donaldo Colosio Murrieta (; 10 February 1950 – 23 March 1994) was a Mexican politician, economist, and Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) presidential candidate, who was assassinated at a campaign rally in Tijuana during the Mexican presidential campaign of 1994. Political history Colosio was the son of Luis Colosio Fernández (1923–2010) and Ofelia Murrieta Armida García. The Lo Nuestro Award for Banda Artist of the Year is an award presented annually by American network Univision. It was first awarded in 2001 and has been given annually since. Banda Sinaloense El Recodo de Cruz Lizárraga, often referred to simply as Banda El Recodo, is a Mexican banda formed in Mazatlán, Sinaloa in 1938; it has been under the direction of the Lizárraga family.
