Zoltán "Zoli" Tibor Balogh (December 7, 1953 – June 19, 2002) was a Hungarian-born mathematician, specializing in set-theoretic topology. His father, Tibor Balogh, was also a mathematician. His best-known work concerned solutions to problems involving normality of products, most notably the first ZFC construction of a small (cardinality continuum) Dowker space. Thomas Balogh, Baron Balogh (2 November 190520 January 1985), born Balog Tamás, was a British economist and member of the House of Lords. The elder son of a wealthy Budapest Jewish family (his father was head of public transport, his mother the daughter of a professor), Balogh studied at the city Gymnasium, considered 'the Eton College, Eton of Hungarian youth', then at the universities of Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest and Humboldt University of Berlin, Berlin. He took a two-year research position at Harvard University as a Rockefeller Fellowship, Rockefeller Fellow in 1928. Pink Mountaintops is a Canadian rock and roll band from Vancouver led by Stephen McBean. The band's first album, ''The Pink Mountaintops'', featured Amber Webber and Joshua Wells. Norbert Sándor Balogh (born 21 February 1996) is a Hungarian Association football, footballer who plays as a Forward (association football), forward for FC DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda, DAC Dunajská Streda and the Hungary national football team, Hungarian national team. Club career Balogh grew up in very poor circumstances in Hajdúböszörmény, Hajdú County, Hungary. His parents did not earn enough money, therefore he often starved. Balogh's parents could not afford to buy new shoes for him, therefore he was often mocked at school. In an interview with Nemzeti Sport, Balogh said that he did not mind that he was brought up in poor circumstances because as an adult he can appreciate the success more. But he never forgets where he comes from. He is still in touch with his old friends from his birthplace. Mary Balogh (born Mary Jenkins on 24 March 1944) is a Welsh-Canadian novelist writing historical romance, born and raised in Swansea. In 1967, she moved to Canada to start a teaching career, married a local coroner and settled in Kipling, Saskatchewan, where she eventually became a school principal. Her debut novel appeared in 1985. Her historical fiction is set in the Regency era (1811–1820) or the wider Georgian era (1714–1830). Kálmán Balogh (born 18 January 1959) is a Hungarian cimbalom player and leader of Kalman Balogh's Gypsy Cimbalom Band. History Balogh is a Hungarian cimbalom player part of a lineage of Hungarian Gypsy musicians. A graduate of Franz Liszt Academy of Music of Budapest, he completed his studies in 1980 under supervision of Ferenc Gerencsér. Balogh studied the Gypsy music in Europe and Asia for several years. He has completed many tours throughout the world with various ensembles, including five tours in North America. He has performed and toured with many folk bands and has recorded dozens of albums with them and as a solo artist.
