Balochistan United Women Football Club is a Pakistani women's football club based in Quetta. The club competes in the National Women Football Championship. History In 2004 Rubina Irfan founded Balochistan United around her three daughters and entered the team into the Pakistani women's football championship. Rubina Irfan
Rubina Irfan ( ur, ; born 5 August 1965) is a Pakistani politician who is a member of the Pakistan Muslim League (Q) and head of the party's women's wing. Since March 2012, she has served as a Senator of Pakistan. In 2002 she was elected to the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan. from 2007-2012 she served as a Law Minister in Balochistan. She is married to Agha Irfan Karim, a former member of the Balochistan Assembly. She is the mother of football players Raheela Zarmeen and Shahlyla Baloch, the later of whom died in a car accident in 2016. National Women Football Championship
The National Women Football Championship is the top cup competition for women's football clubs in Pakistan – designed as an equivalent to the National Challenge Cup for men. It was started in 2005 by the Pakistan Football Federation. Young Rising Stars has been the most successful team in the history of he competition, winning it five times (including four consecutive wins from 2010 to 2013). 2014 National Women Football Championship
The 2014 National Women Football Championship was the 10th season of the National Women Football Championship, the top-tier of women's football in Pakistan. The tournament started on 12 August and concluded on 29 August 2014, with three group stages played in Lahore and one group stage played in Karachi. Young Rising Stars were the defending champions. They were knocked-out in the quarter-finals by Pakistan Army losing 3–2. Balochistan United won the championship after defeating WAPDA 7–0 in finals. Balochistan United were the highest goal-scoring team in the tournament as well, scoring 64 goals in 6 matches, with top-scorer Hajra Khan scoring 31 goals. Princess Shahlyla Ahmadzai Baloch (12 March 1996 – 12 October 2016) was a Pakistani professional footballer who played as a forward for Balochistan United and the Pakistan national women's team. She was granddaughter of Prince Agha Abdul Karim Khan Ahmedzai who was the younger brother of the Khan of Kalat, Mir Ahmedyar Khan. Biography Baloch was the first Pakistani woman to score a hat-trick in international club football when she did so during her stint in the Maldives. She represented Pakistan at the 2014 SAFF Women's Championship in Islamabad, which was the last international event that the Pakistan women's team competed in.
