Balabhadra Radha Krishna
Air Marshal Balabhadra Radha Krishna, PVSM, AVSM, SC is an officer in the Indian Air Force. He is former Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C), Western Air Command. He took over the office on 1 July 2021, following the elevation of Air Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari. He is Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (the Vice Chief of Defence Staff) on 30 September 2021. Previously, he served as the Director General Air (Operations) and prior to that he served as Senior Air Staff Officer of South Western Air Command. Early life and education BR Krishna is an alumnus of National Defence Academy, Defence Services Staff College, Wellington and National Defence College. Amar Jawan Jyoti
Amar Jawan Jyoti ( hi, अमर जवान ज्योति, , or light) is an Indian memorial conceptualised and constructed after the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 and inaugurated on 26 January 1972. It was the national war memorial in India until February 2019, when the new National War Memorial and its own flame was inaugurated and lit. On 21 January 2022, the older flame was merged with the newer one at National War Memorial. The Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate consisted of a base of 15 square feet with a height of 4 feet 3 inches on which there was a black marble pedestal, a cenotaph, 3 feet 2 inches in height. "Amar Jawan" was scripted in gold in Hindi on all four sides of the cenotaph and on top, a reversed rifle capped by a war helmet. The pedestal was bound by four urns. The Sainya Seva Medal is a medal of the Indian Armed Forces. The medal is awarded in recognition of non-operational service under conditions of hardship and severe climate in specified areas. History The Sainya Seva Medal was instituted on 26 January 1960 by the Government of India, with the approval of the President of India. Operations Parakram Medal is a military award of India. It was awarded in recognition of the services of Armed Forces personnel and civilians in Operation Parakram. Siachen Glacier Medal
The Siachen Glacier Medal is awarded for service in the Siachen conflict along India's northern border with Pakistan. Awarded to the Indian Air Force for Operation Meghdoot, in support of activities in support of troops serving in the Siachen Glacier area since April 1984. Appearance The medal is a circular 36-mm cupro-nickel medal. In the center of the obverse is the Emblem of India, surrounded by the legend ''Siachen Glacier Medal'' in both Hindi and English.
