The 34,200-seater was the home stadium of the Iraq national football team, as well as the lar ... to conclude the Festival of Brotherhood, Love and Peace ( ar, مهرجان التأخي والمحبة والسلام), an event organised by the Iraqi Ministry of Youth and Sports on 16 June 2013. The match was contested by two of the country's top clubs, Al-Shorta and Al-Zawraa, and fans were allowed free entry into the stadium for the occasion. Al-Kadhimiya and Al-Adhamiya played against each other in a 30-minute match to open the festival; Al-Kadhimiya won 1–0 with a goal by Raddad Suhail and were awarded with the Love and Peace Cup trophy. Al-Shorta
Al-Shorta Sports Club ( ar, نادي الشرطة الرياضي, lit=''Police Sports Club'') is an Iraqi sports club based in Al-Rusafa, Baghdad. It has teams in 17 different sports, more than any other Iraqi club, and the best known section of the club is the football team, whose origins date back to 1932. In 1974, following the Iraq Football Association's decision to implement a clubs-only policy for domestic competitions, Al-Shorta were established as a sports club. Al-Shorta are one of Iraq's most successful clubs, having been crowned the inaugural Arab Club Champions Cup winners in 1982, and are the current Iraqi Premier League champions, winning their fifth title in the 2021–22 season. Radhi Shenaishil Swadi ( ar, راضي شنيشل سوادي; born 11 August 1969) is a former Iraqi footballer and former coach of the Iraq national football team, and currently manages Iraq U23. Playing career Radhi Shenaishil was born and brought up in Al-Thawra City in Baghdad. He captained an Iraqi Under 20s team and helped them to top their group which included Spain, Norway and Argentina, who they beat 1–0 with Radhi scoring the winner from a penalty against a side featuring Diego Simeone and Roberto Bonano in the FIFA World Youth Championship in Saudi Arabia in 1989. Amjad Kalaf Mansour Al-Muntafiq ( ar, امجد كلف منصور المنتفق; born 5 October 1991) is an Iraqi footballer who plays as a right winger and sometimes as a striker.
