Bagdana is a village in Mahuva Taluka of Bhavnagar district, Gujarat, India. History The station of the Great Trigonometrical Survey on the Ghebar hill was close to the village. Places of interest The village is a major pilgrim place for the followers of Hindu saint, Bajrangdas Bapa. Initially there was a hut dedicated to him which is now expanded into an Ashram. Bhavnagar District is a Districts of India, district of southeastern Gujarat, India, on the Saurashtra (region), Saurashtra peninsula. Great Trigonometrical Survey
The Great Trigonometrical Survey was a project that aimed to survey the entire Indian subcontinent with scientific precision. It was begun in 1802 by the British infantry officer William Lambton, under the auspices of the East India Company.Gill, B. (2001); "THE BIG MAN. Guru Purnima (Poornima) is a tradition dedicated to all the spiritual and academic Gurus, who are evolved or enlightened humans, ready to share their wisdom, based on Karma Yoga. It is celebrated as a festival in India, Nepal and Bhutan by Hindus, Jains and Buddhists. This festival is traditionally observed to honour one's chosen spiritual teachers or leaders.
