Bado, Missouri
Bado is an unincorporated community in southwest Texas County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. Bado is located on Missouri Route M, along the banks of Little Piney Creek. Texas County is a county located in the southern portion of the U.S. state of Missouri. As of the 2020 census, the population was 24,487. Its county seat is Houston. The county was organized in 1843 as Ashley County, changing its name in 1845 to Texas, after the Republic of Texas. Little Piney Creek
Little Piney Creek is a stream in the Phelps, Texas and Dent counties of the Ozarks of southern Missouri. It is a tributary of the Gasconade River. The stream flows northwest into southeastern Phelps County and flows north parallel to U. S. Route 63 passing just east of the community of Craddock and Edgar Springs. Cabool, Missouri
Cabool is a city in Texas County, Missouri, United States. The population was 1,946 at the 2020 census. Etymology The city was named after Kabul, Afghanistan, using an older English spelling of the name, in 1882. The British Army had just withdrawn from Kabul at the end of the Second Anglo-Afghan War the year before. As local legend goes, one of the construction engineers who built the railroad through Cabool also worked on railroad construction in Afghanistan and thought this area of southern Texas County looked similar to the region of Kabul, Afghanistan. Prior to being called Cabool, the community was known as Cedar Bluff. It remains the only "Cabool" in the United States of America.
