Badminton At The 2022 ASEAN Para Games
Badminton at the 2022 ASEAN Para Games was held at Edutorium Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. Originally set to be host by Vietnam in 2021, the Games were initially cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Vietnam before hosting rights were transferred to Indonesia. It is also originally scheduled from 23 to 30 July 2022, later moved to 30 July to 6 August 2022. Classification There were six different classes in the competition. Cheah Liek Hou (; born 8 March 1988) is a Malaysian nationality law, Malaysian para-badminton player. He is an 11-time winner (both Class SU5 singles and doubles events) of the BWF Para-Badminton World Championships. He won the gold medal in the Badminton at the 2020 Summer Paralympics – Men's singles SU5, men's singles SU5 event of the 2020 Summer Paralympics, making him the first Malaysian athlete to win a medal in para-badminton. The agung is a set of two wide-rimmed, vertically suspended gongs used by the Maguindanao, Maranao, Sama-Bajau and Tausug people of the Philippines as a supportive instrument in kulintang ensembles.
