''Baby Makes Five'' is an American sitcom television series starring Peter Scolari. The series premiered April 1, 1983 on ABC. Plot Eddie (Scolari)is an accountant who married to Jennie (Louise Williams) and the father of three children, with twins on the way. Jennie's mother (Janis Paige) was free-spirited, while Eddie's mother (Priscilla Morrill) was staid and conservative. Laura Riddle marked the first screen appearance for Jenny Lewis, and Annie Riddle was played by Brandy Gold, siblings of other 1980's sitcom stars Tracey and Missy Gold. Sitcom
A sitcom, a portmanteau of situation comedy, or situational comedy, is a genre of comedy centered on a fixed set of characters who mostly carry over from episode to episode. Sitcoms can be contrasted with sketch comedy, where a troupe may use new characters in each sketch, and stand-up comedy, where a comedian tells jokes and stories to an audience. Sitcoms originated in radio, but today are found mostly on television as one of its dominant narrative forms. Tracey Gold
Tracey Gold (born May 16, 1969) is an American actress and former child star known for playing Carol Seaver on the 1980s sitcom ''Growing Pains''. Acting career Tracey Gold became an actress at the age of four, first appearing in a Pepsi print ad. She appeared in two canceled series, ''Shirley'' with Shirley Jones in 1979, and '' Goodnight Beantown'', starring Bill Bixby in 1983. Gold was originally cast as the youngest daughter in the original pilot series of the sitcom ''Gimme A Break!'' starring Nell Carter, but was replaced by actress Lara Jill Miller when the show went to series. Peter Thomas Scolari (September 12, 1955 – October 22, 2021) was an American actor. He was best known for his roles as Michael Harris on ''Newhart'' (1984–1990), Henry Desmond on ''Bosom Buddies'' (1980–1982) and Wayne Szalinski on ''Honey, I Shrunk the Kids'' (1997–2000).
