"Babe" (Hangul: 베베; Revised Romanization of Hangeul, RR: ''bebe''; stylized in letter case, all caps) is a song recorded by South Korean singer-songwriter and rapper Hyuna, and is the lead single of her sixth extended play, Following (EP), ''Following'' (2017). It was written by Hyuna, Shinsadong Tiger and Beom X Nang, and produced by the latter two. The singer performed the song in several South Korean Music programs of South Korea, music programs, including Music Bank (TV series), ''Music Bank'' and ''Inkigayo''. Commercially, "Babe" debuted at number 16 on the Gaon Digital Chart and rose three positions to number 13 where it peaked the following week. Kim Hyun-ah (born June 6, 1992), better known by the mononym Hyuna (stylized HyunA), is a South Korean singer-songwriter, rapper and model. She debuted as a member of the girl group Wonder Girls in February 2007. After leaving the ensemble shortly after, Hyuna subsequently left JYP Entertainment and joined the girl group 4Minute, under Cube Entertainment. 4Minute debuted in June 2009 and went on to become one of the most popular girl groups in the country. 2017 Mnet Asian Music Awards
The 2017 Mnet Asian Music Awards ceremony, organized by CJ E&M through its music channel Mnet, took place from November 25 through December 1, 2017 (dubbed as "MAMA Week") in Vietnam, Japan and Hong Kong with the theme, "Coexistence". ''M Countdown'' () is a South Korean music program broadcast by Mnet. The show features appearances by popular music artists who also perform live on stage. It is broadcast from CJ E&M Center Studio in Sangam-dong, Mapo District, Seoul. Broadcast ''M Countdown'' airs live on domestic television at 6PM KST every Thursday.
