Baban Singh
Baban Singh ( ne, बबन सिंह) is a Nepalese member of parliament and politician, who won the Rautahat-1 seat in the 2008 Constituent Assembly election as an independent candidate. Singh won the seat with 9201 votes. At the time of the election, Singh was on the 'most wanted list' of the Nepalese police forces. According to sources Singh was a member of the 'Terai Army'. . Singh did not make any public appearance during the election campaign. Singh's campaign carried the slogan ''Hamara Ke Bachali'' ('Save me'), pleading to the voters to use the vote in order to save him from a death penalty. Singh's family was active in running the campaign. Rautahat District
Rautahat District ( ne, :ne:रौतहट जिल्ला, रौतहट जिल्ला), a part of Madhesh Province, is one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal. The district headquarter is Gaur, Nepal, Gaur, including municipalities like Gauda, Nepal, Garuda, Chandrapur Municipality, Chandrapur, Paroha, covers an area of 1,126 km2 and had a population of 545,132 in 2001 and 686,722 in 2011. Gaur is a municipality and headquarters of Rautahat district of Narayani zone, Nepal. It lies at the border of Nepal that links India via Bairgania and has a customs checkpoint. The Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) (), abbreviated CPN (Maoist Centre), CPN-Maoist Centre, CPN Maoist Centre, or CPN (MC), is the third largest political party in Nepal. It was founded in 1994 after breaking away from the Communist Party of Nepal (Unity Centre).
