Baba Ana is a commune in Prahova County, Muntenia, Romania. It is composed of five villages: Baba Ana, Cireșanu, Conduratu, Crângurile, and Satu Nou. The commune lies in the Wallachian Plain, on the banks of the river Ghighiu. It is located in the southeastern part of Prahova County, on the border with Buzău County, just south of the town of Mizil and east of the county seat, Ploiești. Ploiești ( , , ), formerly spelled Ploești, is a city and county seat in Prahova County, Romania. Part of the historical region of Muntenia, it is located north of Bucharest. DN1B ( ro, Drumul Național 1B) is a national road in Romania which runs from Ploiești to Buzău via Mizil. The DN1B has recently been upgraded. Buzău
The city of Buzău (formerly spelled ''Buzeu'' or ''Buzĕu''; ) is the county seat of Buzău County, Romania, in the historical region of Muntenia.
