B2K
B2K (Boys of the New Millennium) was an American boy band that was active from 1998 to 2004, and again from 2018 to 2019. In 1998, the group was formed by American dance choreographer Dave Scott and Interscope A&R Keshia Gamble. The members consisted of Lil' Fizz, J-Boog, Raz-B, and Omarion. They released their self-titled debut album on March 12, 2002. The album peaked at number two on the ''Billboard'' 200 and number one on the U.S. Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. History In 2003, the group won a Kids' Choice Award for Favorite Singing Group. That same year, all of the members filmed the movie ''You Got Served''. Around the time the movie was released, manager Chris Stokes announced the group's split, claiming internal disagreements as the cause. Omarion
Omari Ishmael Grandberry (born November 12, 1984), better known by his stage name Omarion, is an American R&B singer, songwriter, actor and dancer. He rose to prominence as the lead singer of the boy band B2K. The group achieved success in the early 2000s with their singles " Gots ta Be", " Uh Huh", " Girlfriend", and the number-one hit " Bump, Bump, Bump". After the group disbanded in 2004, Omarion embarked on a solo career, with the release of his debut solo album, '' O'' (2005), which debuted at the top of the ''Billboard'' 200 chart. De'Mario Monte Thornton (born June 13, 1985), known as Raz-B, is an American singer and actor, who was a founding member of R&B boy band B2K. Career Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Raz B was a creator and member of the group B2K as a teen. During his time in the group, B2K released their album, '' Pandemonium!'', and performed on an accompanying tour. The group’s first feature film, ''You Got Served'', was released in 2004, shortly before they announced their break-up. Distributed through his own production company, RazBeatz Entertainment, Raz released his first single, ''Fire'', in May 2007. ''Fire'' officially debuted on the ''Billboard'' charts (the week of 5/12/07). Dreux Pierre Frédéric (born November 26, 1985) better known by his stage name Lil' Fizz, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and actor best known for being the youngest member and rapper of the R&B group B2K. Formerly, he starred on the television show '' Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood''. Early life Frédéric was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and raised in Los Angeles, California. ''You Got Served'' is a 2004 American dance drama film written and directed by Chris Stokes, who was also the business manager of the performers who were the film's main characters: recording artist Marques Houston and the boy band B2K. The plot follows a group of dancers who take part in a street dancing competition. ''You Got Served'' was produced by Marcus Morton, Cassius Vernon Weathersby, Billy Pollina, and Kris Cruz Toledo, and filming took place Between May 1, 2003, and June 25, 2003. The Columbia Pictures division Screen Gems released the film on January 30, 2004—the weekend of Super Bowl XXXVIII. It opened at #1 at the box office during its opening weekend, and grossed $16 million in its first week. Pretty Ricky is an American R&B/ hip hop group originating from Miami, Florida. The group originally consisted of brothers Diamond Blue (Baby Blue) Smith and Spectacular Smith, plus Corey (Slick 'Em) Mathis and Marcus (Pleasure P) Cooper. Pleasure P was the group's main singer while the other three members performed as rappers. Dave Scott (born 1974) is an American hip-hop dance teacher, choreographer, and talent developer. He gained widespread success from his choreography in movies, primarily the 2004 dance film ''You Got Served'' and the 2008 dance film '' Step Up 2: The Streets''. Christopher Brian Stokes (born July 21, 1969) is an American filmmaker and former record executive. He is the son of actress Irene Stokes and older brother of singer Juanita Stokes. He is perhaps best known for being the founder of The Ultimate Group record label in 2000, whose roster included B2K, Omarion, Jhené Aiko, Marques Houston, IMx and NLT, among others. Transition to film and television Stokes first became connected with film and television through the talent he managed.
