B. J. Callaghan
Brian Joseph Callaghan II (born July 1, 1981) is an American professional soccer coach who is currently serving as the head coach of Nashville SC. Playing career Callaghan played collegiate soccer at Ursinus College, making 250 career saves, fourth in school history at the end of his final season. Coaching career After graduation, Callaghan coached at his alma mater and at the club level before joining the staff at Saint Joseph's and later Villanova, where his grandfather, Jack Kraft, had served as the men's basketball head coach in the 1960s and 1970s and led the Wildcats to the 1971 national championship game. From 2005 to 2010, Callaghan served as an assistant coach with the Wildcats before being promoted to associate head coach in 2010. Jim Curtin
Jim Curtin (born June 23, 1979) is an American professional soccer coach and former player who is the current head coach of the Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer. He spent most of his playing career with the Chicago Fire. Youth and college Curtin grew up in Oreland, Pennsylvania and played high school soccer at Bishop McDevitt. He excelled in college soccer at Villanova University, being named the Big East Rookie of the Year his freshman year, and taking home first-team All-Big East selections his junior and senior seasons. Gary Smith (footballer, Born 1968)
Gary Neil Smith (born 3 December 1968) is a British former footballer who serves as head coach of Major League Soccer side Nashville SC. Smith's playing career began at Fulham, progressing through the youth team before making one first-team appearance for the club. After a brief spell with Colchester United, Smith joined non-league side Enfield in 1989. His most successful spell during his playing days was at Wycombe Wanderers, spending two seasons with the club. After a season with Welling United, Smith returned to the Football League in 1993, when he signed for Barnet. The 1934 FIFA World Cup was the first World Cup for which teams had to qualify, after the finalists in the inaugural 1930 World Cup had participated by invitation from FIFA. With 32 teams having entered the 1934 competition, FIFA organized qualification rounds to select 16 teams for the finals. Even Italy, the host of the World Cup, had to earn its spot, the only time this has been the case. The previous champion Uruguay refused to defend its title because many European nations had declined to take part in the 1930 World Cup, held in Uruguay. David Gould
David L. Gould (January 9, 1873 – January 25, 1939) was a Scottish American soccer player, coach and referee. He coached the U.S. national team at the 1934 FIFA World Cup and is a member of the National Soccer Hall of Fame. He was born in Galston, Scotland. Player Gould grew up playing soccer in Scotland before moving to the United States in 1891. He was eighteen at the time. When he arrived, he began playing with Philadelphia Athletic of the Pennsylvania League. While Gould's Hall of Fame profile notes he played for Philadelphia Phillies in the American League of Association Football, it has been asserted that no records exist to substantiate this claim.
