''B.T.'' () is a Danish tabloid newspaper which offers general news about various subjects such as sports, politics and current affairs. ''B.T.'' will be 100% digital by 2023, after more than a hundred years in the printing press. History and profile ''B.T.'' was established in 1916 as a tabloid spinoff from ''Berlingske Tidende''. The paper is based in Copenhagen. A large, red neon sign displays the company's logo at the Trianglen square in the Østerbro district of Copenhagen. ''B.T.'' is part of Berlingske Media Group. It had a conservative stance in the 1960s. During the last six months of 1957 the circulation of ''B.T.'' was 157,932 copies on weekdays. Trianglen, Copenhagen
Trianglen (literally "The Triangle") is a central junction and public space in the Østerbro district of Copenhagen, Denmark. Five streets meet in the junction: Blegdamsvej, Øster Allé, Østerbrogade, Nordre Frihavnsgade and Odensegade. Trianglen is a station on the City Circle Line of the Copenhagen Metro. Lille Trianglen (literally "Little Triangle") is located some 400 metres to the south, along Østerbrogade. History and profile JP/Politikens Hus was established on 1 January 2003 as a merger between Politikens Hus and Jyllands-Posten A/S, publishing companies of the major broadsheet newspapers ''Politiken'' and ''Jyllands-Posten'', respectively. Etymology The word ''tabloid'' comes from the name given by the London-based pharmaceutical company Burroughs Wellcome & Co. to the compressed tablets they marketed as "Tabloid" pills in the late 1880s. The connotation of ''tabloid'' was soon applied to other small compressed items. A 1902 item in London's ''Westminster Gazette'' noted, "The proprietor intends to give in tabloid form all the news printed by other journals."
