Axelle Renoir
Axelle Renoir (born Fabienne Meignen; 2 February 1969) is a French singer and composer from Brittany. She has released three studio albums and composed the soundtrack of two French films. Life and career Axelle Renoir was born in 1969 in Josselin or in Redon. As a teenager, she studied at the Conservatoire de Rennes for three years. She entered a competition organized by the television channel M6 and won the first prize of the new Talents M6. She then signed her first album with Warner in 1995, ''Magnum et matinées dansantes,'' which she composed all the music but wrote few of the lyrics. "Lulu" was released in 1994 as a single from this album. The album sold 30,000 copies. That same year, she performed a duet on the radio with Nicola Sirkis's group Indochina, "Dieu est un fumeur de Havane" (a revival of Deneuve and Gainsbourg). Josselin
Josselin (; ) is a commune in the Morbihan department in Brittany in north-western France. History St Meriadek is said to have founded a chapel there during the 4th century. Much later Josselin became a stronghold of the House of Rohan. An alternative explanation for the location of the chapel concerns a labourer who in 808 discovered a wooden statue in the brambles which enabled his hitherto blind daughter to see. A chapel was constructed on the site of this miracle which subsequently grew into a church (parts of which date back to the twelfth century). A fresco in the church now recalls the Combat of the Thirty summarized below. Thierry Amiel (born 18 October 1982) is a French singer and songwriter from Marseille, France. He rose to fame after coming in second place to Jonatan Cerrada on the first edition of the French ''Pop Idol'', ''À la Recherche de la Nouvelle Star''. Biography Thierry grew up in Auriol, a town in Bouches-du-Rhône. Nicolas Hulot
Nicolas Jacques André Hulot (; born 30 April 1955) is a French journalist and environmental activist. He is the founder and honorary president of the Nicolas Hulot Foundation, an environmental group established in 1990. Hulot ran as a candidate in the primary for the Europe Ecology – The Greens (EELV) party in 2011, but lost to Eva Joly in the second round.
