Thierry Amiel
Thierry Amiel (born 18 October 1982) is a French singer and songwriter from Marseille, France. He rose to fame after coming in second place to Jonatan Cerrada on the first edition of the French ''Pop Idol'', ''À la Recherche de la Nouvelle Star''. Biography Thierry grew up in Auriol, a town in Bouches-du-Rhône. Keen on music from a young age, in 2001 he quit his studies in Psychology and tried unsuccessfully for both '' Rêve d'un soir'' and '' Popstars 2''. His break came in 2003 when he competed in ''A La Recherche De La Nouvelle Star'', losing narrowly in the final round. Shortly afterwards, his first album ''Paradoxes'', along with his first single, ''Les Mots Bleus'', were released, ''Paradoxes'' coming 3rd in the top 50 albums of its opening week. After three years, Thierry released his second album on the 20 November 2006, titled eponymously ''Thierry Amiel''. ''Popstars'' is an international reality television franchise aimed to find new singing talent. Serving as a precursor to the ''Idol'' franchise, ''Popstars'' first began in New Zealand in 1999 when producer Jonathan Dowling formed the girl group TrueBliss. Monrose was a German pop girl group, first established in November 2006. Formed on the fifth installment of the German adaption of the international television talent show ''Popstars'', the trio consisted of singers Mandy Capristo, Senna Gammour, and Bahar Kızıl. They were signed to Starwatch Music and released their debut album ''Temptation'' in December 2006. The Cloud Room is an American band based in Brooklyn, New York, named after the Prohibition-era speakeasy at the top of the Chrysler Building. Their self-titled album was released in 2005 and contains the hit "Hey Now Now", a song that garnered the band rapid popularity on MP3 blogs but, being an indie release, had difficulty getting airplay on Commercial American radio. Sopot International Song Festival
The Sopot International Song Festival or Sopot Festival (later called ''Sopot Music Festival Grand Prix'', ''Sopot Top of the Top Festival'' from 2012–13 and ''Polsat Sopot Festival'' in 2014) is an annual international song contest held in Sopot, Poland. It is the biggest Polish music festival altogether with the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole, and one of the biggest song contests in Europe. The contest was organised and transmitted live by the public Polish Television (TVP) between 1994 and 2004. Paradoxes
A paradox is a logically self-contradictory statement or a statement that runs contrary to one's expectation. It is a statement that, despite apparently valid reasoning from true premises, leads to a seemingly self-contradictory or a logically unacceptable conclusion.
