Awaz Discography
Awaz ( ur, آواز ) was a Pakistani pop band that formed in Islamabad in 1992. The group was formed by Haroon Rashid, lead vocalist, who was soon joined by keyboardist Faakhir Mehmood and lead guitarist Asad Ahmed. Awaz were one of the pioneer bands of the local pop music scene and were highly skilled and talented musicians, producers and composers. The band's skill at composing and producing was often overlooked and the focus was on their good looks, glossy videos, catchy songs and wild stage performances. Karavan ( ) was a hard rock band from Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, formed in 1997. The band was founded by former Awaz lead guitarist Asad Ahmed with bassist Sameer Ahmed, who were soon joined by drummer Allan Smith and vocalist Najam Sheraz. Karavan is known for fusing Eastern percussion and melodies with modern rock. Since its inception, the group has released five albums, including four studio albums and one live album. They released their debut studio album, '' Rakh Aasm,'' in 1997. After two years, the band recorded their second album ''Safar'' with their new vocalist Tanseer Ahmed Daar since Najam Sheraz left the band to pursue a solo career. Aamir Zaki (April 8, 1968 – June 2, 2017) was a Saudi born Pakistani guitarist-songwriter and composer. Zaki is considered by many as one of the most influential guitarists in Pakistan's history. He is considered to be among the pioneers of Rock music in Pakistan. Career Early career Zaki started out his music career with a band named The Scratch in 1987, their first album was named ''The Bomb'', whose title track was about the Empress Market bomb blast. The song gave Zaki a little recognition. On an advice from his friend, he quit The Scratch in 1988 to form his own band, thus in process of doing so he started touring with Alamgir. Pepsi is a carbonated soft drink manufactured by PepsiCo.
