Autovía A-22
Autovía A-22 or Autovía Huesca-Lleida is an upgrade of a section of the existing N-240 (Carretera), N-240 Spain, Spanish road, managed by the Spain#Spanish Government, Spanish Government, between Huesca, the second largest city in Aragón and Lleida, a provincial capital in Catalonia. The route has all sections now open to traffic with the exception of the last 13km into Huesca. The A-22 runs mainly in parallel to the existing N-240 road except for certain specific stretches such as the Monzón bypass which opened in 2008, and the Barbastro bypass where alternative routes have been employed. Huesca
Huesca (; an, Uesca) is a city in north-eastern Spain, within the autonomous community of Aragon. It is also the capital of the Spanish province of the same name and of the comarca of Hoya de Huesca. Autovía A-23
The Autovía A-23 is a motorway in Aragon, Spain. A-23 is an upgrade of the N-330 (Carretera), N-330 and N-234 (Carretera), N-234. As of June 2020, it starts in the province of Huesca then runs south to Zaragoza. Then, it follows the Jiloca (river), Jiloca River south to Teruel, through the Sierra d'Espada, to the coast at Sagunto. Plans call for the freeway to reach the French border at Somport where a 8.6-km two-lane cross-border tunnel has been in operation since 2003. The freeway is also known as ''Autovía Valencia-Francia'' or ''Autovía Sagunto-Somport''. Once fully complete, it will serve as an important connection between Valencia, Aragon, the Basque Country (greater region), Basque region, and France, through the Somport tunnel.
