Austre Bokn
Austre Bokn is an island in Bokn municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The island lies on the northern side of the Boknafjorden between the islands of Ognøya and Vestre Bokn. It's connected to the other two islands and to the mainland by a series of bridges along the European route E39 highway. Both islands are separated from Austre Bokn by very small channels that are only about wide. Most of the island is barren, rocky, and uninhabited. The tall Vardefjellet is the highest point on the island. The majority of the island's population is located along the western and southern shores. With less than 200 residents on the island, it is the second most populous island in the municipality (only 3 islands in Bokn are populated). Bokn
Bokn is a municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Haugaland. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Føresvik, the only urban area in Bokn. Other villages in Bokn include Arsvågen, Trosnavåg, and Loten. Boknafjorden
Boknafjord or Boknafjorden ( en, Bokna Fjord) is a fjord located in Rogaland county, Norway. The huge fjord lies between the cities of Stavanger and Haugesund and dominates the central part of the county. The main part of the fjord is shared between the municipalities of Kvitsøy, Stavanger, Tysvær, Bokn, and Karmøy. There are dozens of smaller fjords that branch off the main part of the fjord, reaching most municipalities in the county. Ognøya
Ognøya or Ogn is an island in Bokn municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The island lies between the mainland and the islands of Austre Bokn and Vestre Bokn. The islands are connected by a series of bridges as part of the European route E39 highway. The industrial area of Kårstø lies just north of Ognøya on the mainland. The island is mostly rocky and barren with little population. There is a small group of houses on the southern part of the island in the one relatively flat, arable area on the island. Vestre Bokn
Vestre Bokn is an island in Bokn municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The island is the main island of the municipality. It lies on the northern side of the Boknafjorden at the southern end of the Karmsundet strait. Vestre Bokn lies between the islands of Karmøy (to the west) and Austre Bokn and Ognøya (to the northeast). The main population centre on the island is the village of Føresvik, the administrative centre of the whole municipality. There are about 661 inhabitants on the island (as of 2014). Vestre Bokn is connected to the mainland via a series of bridges on the European route E39 highway which connect to Austre Bokn, then to Ognøya, and then to the mainland. European Route E39
European route E39 is the designation of a north–south road in Norway and Denmark from Klett, just south of Trondheim, to Aalborg via Bergen, Stavanger and Kristiansand. In total, there are nine ferries, more than any other single road in Europe. In Trondheim, there are connections to E6 and E14.
