Club Atlético Morelia is a Mexican Association football, football club based in Morelia, Michoacán. Founded on 4 June 1950, the club currently plays in the Liga de Expansión MX. The club play their home games at Estadio Morelos. From 1981 to 2020, the club played in Liga MX, Mexico top-flight football league, winning the Primera División de México Invierno 2000, Invierno 2000 championship. On 2 June 2020, it was officially announced that the club would be relocating to Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mazatlan. Later that month, it was announced that city of Morelia would have a franchise in the Liga de Expansión MX named Atlético Morelia. Estadio Morelos
Estadio Morelos is a football stadium located along Periférico Independencia, in the Independencia sector, near the base of Cerro del Quinceo in northwest Morelia, Michoacán, México. It was the site of professional football teams, Monarcas Morelia in the top division of Mexican football and Monarcas Primera A in the league under that. This structure holds various events, such as concerts, religious gatherings, and mass. Its official name ''Estadio José María Morelos y Pavón'' honors a hero of the Mexican War of Independence. Joel Adrián Huiqui Andrade (born 18 February 1983) is a Mexican former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. His paternal surname is of Mayo origin (indigenous people of Sonora and Sinaloa). Career Joel Huiqui started his career in Hermosillo Hidalgo in the Primera Division 'A' which is the youth team of Cruz Azul, but debuted with C.F. Pachuca as a loan from Cruz Azul who did not debut him. He debuted in a game over CF Querétaro in a 0–0 tie in the 2003 Apertura. Mazatlán
Mazatlán () is a city in the Mexican state of Sinaloa. The city serves as the municipal seat for the surrounding ''municipio'', known as the Mazatlán Municipality. It is located at on the Pacific coast, across from the southernmost tip of the Baja California Peninsula. ''Mazatlán'' is a Nahuatl word meaning "place of deer". The city was founded in 1531 by an army of Spaniards and indigenous people. By the mid-19th century, a large group of immigrants arrived from Germany. Over time, Mazatlán developed into a commercial seaport, importing equipment for the nearby gold and silver mines. It served as the capital of Sinaloa from 1859 to 1873. The 2016–17 Liga MX season (known as the Liga BBVA Bancomer MX for sponsorship reasons) was the 70th professional season of the top-flight football league in Mexico. The season is split into two championships—the Torneo Apertura and the Torneo Clausura—each in an identical format and each contested by the same eighteen teams. Club Universitario de Deportes, popularly known as Universitario or simply as La "U", is a Peruvian football club located in Lima. Miguel Sabah
Miguel Sabah Rodríguez (born 14 November 1979) is a Mexican former professional footballer who played as a striker. Throughout his career, he played for Guadalajara, Cruz Azul, Monarcas Morelia, and Club León. Sabah made his debut in the Invierno 2000 with Guadalajara entering in the 46th minute. Sabah played five years with Guadalajara until transferring to Cruz Azul in the Apertura 2006.
