Astronautica
Edrina Martinez, better known by her stage name Astronautica, is an experimental electronic, indie, hip hop, and beat music producer. She is currently based in Los Angeles, California, and signed with Alpha Pup Records, an independent label co-founded by Daddy Kev of Low End Theory. Career Learning to play guitar by ear at an early age, Astronautica soon began mixing her own samples and beats on the Akai APC 40. After early encouragement by Daedelus, the multi-instrumentalist was drawn into the professional musical community of California and soon began producing on Ableton Live. After signing to Alpha Pup Records in 2013, Astronautica has released Replay Last Night (2013), Waikiki - EP (2014), Gemini (2016), Gemini Remixes - EP (2018), and Death Valley (2018). She participated in the Alpha Pup West Coast 2016 Summer Tour, and has played twice at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and the Low End Theory Festival. Alpha Pup Records is an American independent record label and digital distributor based in Los Angeles, California. It was founded by Daddy Kev and Danyell Jariel in 2004. Low End Theory
Low End Theory was a weekly experimental hip hop and electronic music club night that took place every Wednesday from 2006 to 2018 at The Airliner in Lincoln Heights, Los Angeles, California. History "The Low End Theory" is the second studio album by American hip hop group A Tribe Called Quest, released on September 24, 1991, by Jive Records. The music venue Low End Theory was founded in 2006 by producer and Alpha Pup Records label head Daddy Kev. As the "epicenter" of L.A.'s instrumental hip hop scene, Low End Theory has become one of the most influential venues for the 'beat music' genre.
