The Astra was made by Automobiles Astra, Liège, Belgium in 1930. The European Motor Show Brussels is an auto show held biennial in the city of Brussels, Belgium. The number of visitors is around 600.000. The show is organized by FEBIAC and is scheduled by the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d'Automobiles. History The show was first organized in 1902 in the Cinquantenaire (Jubilee Park) in Brussels. The yearly Motor Show was interrupted between 1915 and 1919 because of World War I. By 1937 the exhibit area in the Jubilee Park became too small and the Motor Show moved to the Centenary Palace on the Heysel Plateau, in the North West of Brussels, only to be cancelled from 1940 to 1948 due to the Second World War. Tracta
Tracta was a French car maker based in Asnières, Seine, that was active between 1926 and 1934. They were pioneers of front-wheel-drive vehicles. The business The business was directed and cars were designed by the engineer Jean-Albert Grégoire, who controlled the business, with financial support from his friend Pierre Fenaille. The cars The cars were initially built in small numbers for competition use, but they were exhibited and offered for road use at the 1927 Paris Motor Show. They used a front-wheel-drive system featuring Grégoire's patented Tracta constant-velocity joint and sliding pillar independent front suspension and a live axle with quarter-elliptic leaf springs at the rear. 1100, 1200, 1500 and 1600 cc engines made by S.C.A.P. were available with optional Cozette supercharger.
