Asquith, New South Wales
Asquith is an outer suburb of Northern Sydney in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Asquith is located 26 km north-west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of Hornsby Shire. The suburb contains a section of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park on its eastern side. History Asquith was named in 1915 after the then prime minister of the United Kingdom, H. H. Asquith. Asquith railway station opened on 1 November 1915, in conjunction with land released by R. Halloran & Company. Asquith Girls High School
Asquith Girls High School, (abbreviated as AGHS) is a government-funded comprehensive single-sex secondary day school for girls, located on Stokes Avenue, Asquith, an upper north shore suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Established in 1959 to replace the Hornsby Home Science School, the school enrolled approximately 820 students in 2018, from Year 7 to Year 12, of whom one percent identified as Indigenous Australians and 32 percent were from a language background other than English. Graham Leslie "Buzz" Bidstrup (born 30 August 1952) is an Australian musician, songwriter, music producer and talent manager. He was a member of the Angels (1976–1981), the Party Boys (1983–1984) and Gang Gajang (1984–1987, 1993–1996, 1997–2010, 2013–present). He has managed Jimmy Little, Nathan Cavaleri and Diana Ah Naid. The North Sydney Bears is an Australian rugby league football club based in North Sydney, New South Wales. Ron Massey Cup
The Ron Massey Cup (formerly known as the Bundaberg Red Cup and Jim Beam Cup) is a semi-professional development level rugby league competition in New South Wales (NSW), Australia, run jointly by the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) and the Country Rugby League of New South Wales (CRL). The competition is run concurrently with the National Rugby League (NRL). It currently comprises 13 teams drawn from the Sydney metropolitan area. The competition is named after Ron Massey, a former rugby league coach. Ron Massey died 19 September 2016.
