Ashley Howard (curler)
Ashley Howard (born September 19, 1989) is a Canadian curler from Regina, Saskatchewan. She played third on Team Saskatchewan in the 2016 Scotties Tournament of Hearts and is the executive director of CurlSask, the governing body of curling in Saskatchewan. Junior career Born in Orillia, Ontario, Howard is the daughter of 2006 Olympic champion Russ Howard. Howard skipped the New Brunswick team of Jillian Babin, Melissa Menzies and Emily MacRae at the 2009 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, finishing the round robin with a record of 5-7. Women's career New Brunswick: 2009-2011 The season after her Canadian Juniors appearance, Howard and her new rink of Jaclyn Crandall, Beverley Janes-Colpitts and Nicole McCann played in the 2010 New Brunswick Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Andrea Crawford
Andrea Kelly (born July 31, 1985), previously known as Andrea Crawford, is a Canadian curler from Fredericton, New Brunswick. She currently skips her own team out of the Capital Winter Club in Fredericton. She is a nine-time New Brunswick Scotties Tournament of Hearts champion skip, winning six straight titles from 2009–2014. Career Juniors Kelly's first national experience came at the 2002 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, where she would represent New Brunswick. Her team would finish round robin with a 6–6 record and a seventh-place finish. Breanne Meakin
Breanne Knapp (born April 16, 1990 in Winnipeg, Manitoba as Breanne Meakin) is a Canadian curler from Regina, Saskatchewan. She is a four-time Manitoba Junior Champion and a one-time Canadian junior champion (2009). She has won a silver medal at the World Junior Curling Championships. Career Juniors Knapp had a successful Junior career. At the Canadian Junior Curling Championships she won silver in 2007 and gold in 2009. The 2012 Manitoba Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Manitoba's women's provincial curling championship, was held from January 25 to 29 at the Portage Credit Union Centre in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. The 2012 Sun Life Financial Players' Championship was held from April 17 to 22 at the Consolidated Credit Union Place in Summerside, Prince Edward Island. It was the last Grand Slam event of the 2011–12 curling season and the twentieth time the tournament has been held. The purse is CAD$100,000 for both the men's and women's tournaments, and the winner of each tournament will receive CAD$18,000. Grand Slam (curling)
The Grand Slam of Curling (branded as the Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling for sponsorship reasons) is a series of curling bonspiels that are a part of the annual World Curling Tour. Grand Slam events offer a purse of at least CAD$100,000, and feature the best teams from across Canada and around the World. The Grand Slam was instituted during the 2001–02 season for men and 2006–07 for women (with the 2006 Players' Championship also considered a Slam), but some of the Grand Slam events have longer histories as bonspiels. Cathy Overton-Clapham
Cathy Overton-Clapham (born Cathy Overton, July 19, 1969) nicknamed "Cathy O" is a Canadian curler. Overton-Clapham is one of Manitoba's most decorated female curlers, with one world championship, five national championships, and thirteen Scotties Tournament of Hearts appearances. In 2019, she began coaching Jamie Sinclair's team, and currently coaches the Cory Christensen team. In 2019, Overton-Clapham was named the fifth greatest Canadian curler in history in a TSN poll of broadcasters, reporters and top curlers. Career Overton-Clapham skipped Team Manitoba to a 1989 Canadian Junior Curling Championships win.
