Artūras Rimkevičius
Artūras Rimkevičius (14 April 1983 – 23 September 2019) was a Lithuanian footballer who played as a striker. He committed suicide by gunshot on 23 September 2019, aged 36. Career Club Artūras played for FK Tauras Tauragė, FBK Kaunas, FK Liepājas Metalurgs, FK Silute, FK Šiauliai, FK Bekentas, Atlantis FC. and Asteras Tripoli F.C. Artūras is the current holder of the Lithuanian football record of most goals scored in a single season, 35. Artūras was expected to complete a move to Scottish side Heart of Midlothian in January 2013. However the deal did not go through. He played for 2012 Singapore League Runners-up and League Cup champions, Brunei DPMM FC. In May 2014 he returned to Kaunas and signed with FC Stumbras. Kaunas
Kaunas (; ; also see other names) is the second-largest city in Lithuania after Vilnius and an important centre of Lithuanian economic, academic, and cultural life. 2019 A Lyga
The 2019 A Lyga was the 30th season of the A Lyga, the top-tier association football league of Lithuania. The season began on 2 March 2019 and ended on 27 November 2019. Sūduva Marijampolė began the season as defending champions having won their second consecutive league title last year. They secured a third consecutive title in Aukštaitija Stadium on 3 November, after they beat Panevėžys 5–1. Only five league clubs survived throughout the year – Stumbras folded in the summer, while Atlantas and Palanga were disqualified in the off-season. Darius And Girėnas Stadium
Darius and Girėnas stadium ( lt, Dariaus ir Girėno stadionas) is a multi-use stadium in the Ąžuolynas park in Žaliakalnis district of Kaunas, Lithuania. The all-seater stadium holds 15,315 people. In 1998 the stadium was renovated according to UEFA regulations, and in 2005 it was modernised with the installation of the biggest stadium television screen in the Baltic states. The latest renovation started in 2018 and ended in 2022. It is the biggest stadium in the Baltic states. It hosts Lithuanian football matches as well as international athletics championships.
