Arnold Kask
Arnold Kask (10 August 1902, Pärnu – 30 July 1994, Tartu) was an Estonian linguist. In 1928 he graduated from the University of Tartu. Since 1944 he taught at the University of Tartu. In 1944 and from 1968 to 1982, he was the chairman of . Since 1961 he was a member of Estonian Academy of Sciences Founded in 1938, the Estonian Academy of Sciences ( et, Eesti Teaduste Akadeemia) is Estonia's national academy of science in Tallinn. Pärnu () is the fourth largest city in Estonia. Situated in southwest Estonia, Pärnu is located south of the Estonian capital, Tallinn, and west of Estonia's second largest city, Tartu.
