Arne Riis (bandy)
Arne Gurstad Riis (June 21, 1923 – April 29, 2009) was a Norwegian actor. Riis was engaged with the New Theater from 1949 to 1957. In addition, Riis appeared in eleven film and television roles. He made his screen debut in 1951 in Edith Carlmar's film ''Skadeskutt''. In the 1960s Riis worked for NRK's Television Theater. He played his last television role in 1982 as a Norwegian in the Swedish TV series ''Polisen som vägrade svara''. Riis was married to the singer Nora Brockstedt. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Nora Brockstedt
Nora Brockstedt (20 January 1923 – 5 November 2015) was a Norwegian singer. In her last years, she focused more on the jazz genre, with successful albums like ''As Time Goes By'' (JazzAvdelingen, 2004) and ''Christmas Songs'' (JazzAvdelingen, 2005). She sang jazz in the 1960s, but was more known for her 'conventional' pop songs. Oslo Nye Teater is a theater located in Oslo, Norway. The theater has its main stage in its own theater house at Rosenkrantz' gate 10. It is one of Norway's most visited theatres. Edith Carlmar
Edith Carlmar (born Edith Mary Johanne Mathiesen) (15 November 1911 – 17 May 2003) was a Norwegian actress and Norway's first female film director. She is known for films such as ''Aldri annet enn bråk'' (1954), ''Fjols til fjells'' (1957), and '' Ung flukt'' (''The Wayward Girl'', 1959). Her 1949 film, ''Døden er et kjærtegn'' (''Death is a Caress''), is considered to be Norway's first film noir. The last film she directed, '' Ung flukt'', introduced Liv Ullmann, Norway's most famous actor internationally, to the silver screen. Carlmar came from a poor family in the working class districts of East Oslo. However, she did manage to take dancing classes and made her debut on stage at the age of 15. ''Skadeskutt'' (Wounded) is a Norwegian drama film from 1951 directed by Edith Carlmar. The lead roles are played by Carsten Winger, Eva Bergh, Sigrun Otto, and Einar Vaage. Plot The architect Einar Wang (Carsten Winger) has been married to his adoring wife Else (Eva Bergh) for some years. The marriage has been happy, but one thing has cast a shadow over their life together: they have not had a child. Eventually, they decide to have a child. Fjernsynsteatret was a department of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) which produced plays for television broadcasting. It opened in 1960 (after about a year of experimental operation), and operated until 1990, when a major reorganisation of NRK took place. The title ''I slik en natt'' is taken from Henrik Wergeland's poem "Juleaftenen" (Christmas Eve) in his poetry collection '' Jøden'' (The Jew), and the film deals with the Gestapo's search for a group of Jewish children in Oslo and bold action to bring the children to safety.
