Arizona's 24th Legislative District is one of 30 in the state, situated in Maricopa County. As of 2021, there are 40 precincts in the district, with a total registered voter population of 128,958. Jennifer Longdon
Jennifer "Jen" Longdon is an American politician and a Democratic member of the Arizona House of Representatives representing District 5 since January 9, 2023. She previously represented District 24 from 2019 to 2023. Longdon was elected in 2018 to succeed State Representative Lela Alston, who instead ran for State Senate. Longdon was paralyzed in 2004 in a random drive-by shooting. Amish Shah is an American doctor, politician and a Democratic member of the Arizona House of Representatives representing District 5 since January 9, 2023. The Arizona State Senate is part of the Arizona Legislature, the state legislature of the US state of Arizona. The Senate consists of 30 members each representing an average of 219,859 constituents (2009 figures). Members serve two-year terms with term limits that limit Senators to four terms for a total of eight years. Members of the Republican Party are currently the majority in the Senate. There is currently 16 women serving in the Senate after Raquel Terán was appointed, making it the first time a majority of the body was composed of female members. Lela Alston (born June 26, 1942) is an American politician and a Democratic member of the Arizona State Senate representing District 24 since January 14, 2019.
