Argo is an unincorporated community in northwest Crawford County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. The community is on a ridge northwest of the Little Bourbeuse River. The site is located on Missouri Route C about five miles northwest of Bourbon and Interstate 44. History A post office called Argo was established in 1849, and discontinued in 1906. The Little Bourbeuse River is a stream in Crawford, Gasconade and Franklin counties in the Ozarks of Missouri. It is a tributary of the Bourbeuse River. Interstate 44 (I-44) is a major Interstate Highway in the central United States. Although it is nominally an east–west road as it is even-numbered, it follows a more southwest–northeast alignment. Its western terminus is in Wichita Falls, Texas, at a concurrency with U.S. Route 277 (US 277), US 281, and US 287; its eastern terminus is at I-70 in St. Louis, Missouri.
