The City of Leeds is a city and metropolitan borough in West Yorkshire, England. 2010 Leeds City Council Election
The 2010 Leeds City Council election took place on Thursday 6 May 2010 to elect members of Leeds City Council in England. It was held on the same day as the 2010 general election and other local elections across the UK. As per the election cycle, one third of the council's seats were up for election. The subsequently elected councillors replaced those elected when their individual seats were previously contested in 2006. The result of the election saw the Labour Party gain five council seats and take minority control of the council. The Morley Borough Independents (MBI) are a local political party in Leeds, West Yorkshire, founded in 2004. 2021 Leeds City Council Election
The 2021 Leeds City Council election took place on Thursday 6 May 2021 to elect members of Leeds City Council in England. It was held on the same day as other local elections across England and the rest of the UK, including the inaugural West Yorkshire mayoral election. The election was originally scheduled for 7 May 2020, alongside the later cancelled 2020 West Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner election and other local elections across the UK, but was delayed for a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 2019 Leeds City Council Election
The 2019 Leeds City Council election took place on Thursday 2 May 2019 to elect members of Leeds City Council in England. It was held on the same day as other UK local elections across England and Northern Ireland. As per the election cycle, one third of the council's 99 seats were up for election. The ''Yorkshire Evening Post'' is a daily evening publication (delivered to newsagents every morning) published by Yorkshire Post Newspapers in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. 2018 Leeds City Council Election
The 2018 Leeds City Council election took place on Thursday 3 May 2018 to elect members of Leeds City Council in England. It was held on the same day as other local elections across England and the rest of the UK. Following a full boundary review of Leeds' 33 electoral wards by the Local Government Boundary Commission, the all-out election saw all of the council's 99 available council seats contested based on the new ward boundaries. Three of the previous wards were abolished and replaced (City & Hunslet, Headingley, and Hyde Park & Woodhouse for Headingley & Hyde Park, Hunslet & Riverside and Little London & Woodhouse).
