''Architect'' is the fourth studio album by Irish singer-songwriter Wallis Bird. The album was released in Ireland on 11 April 2014 alongside Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The album was released in the United Kingdom on 14 April 2014. The first promotional single from the album is "Hardly Hardly", and those who pre-ordered the album on iTunes prior to its Irish release received "I Can Be Your Man" for free. Singles The first commercial single from the album is "Hardly Hardly", released across Europe on 28 March 2014 and on iTunes on 4 April 2014. The single received its first play on Irish radio on 11 February 2014. The single comes in two formats; an album version and a radio version. Wallis Bird
Wallis Bird (born 29 January 1982) is an Irish musician, living in Berlin since 2012. As of 2021, she has released six studio albums, including ''Architect'' in 2014 and ''Home'' in 2016. Career Bird performed at the Eurosonic Festival in 2012 when Ireland was the Spotlight Country. Bird released her third studio album in March 2012 in Ireland, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The album was recorded in Berlin, Germany. The first single, "Encore", was released on 2 March. The music video debuted on 1 February, and had been shot in Berlin. A live album featuring recordings from her European tours from her debut album to her 2014 release ''Architect'', ''Yeah!'' was released in 2015. "Teardrop" (also formatted as "Tear Drop") is a song by English trip hop group Massive Attack. Vocals are performed by Elizabeth Fraser, former lead singer of Cocteau Twins, who also wrote the lyrics. It was released on 27 April 1998 as the second single from the group's third studio album, ''Mezzanine'' (1998). A harpsichord-driven track, "Teardrop" was originally set to feature vocals from Madonna, whom Massive Attack turned down in favour of Fraser. Dolores Keane
Dolores Keane (born 26 September 1953) is an Irish folk singer and occasional actress. She was a founding member of the group De Dannan and has since embarked on a solo career. Background Keane was born in a small village called Sylane (near Tuam) in rural County Galway in the west of Ireland. From the age of four she was raised by her aunts Rita and Sarah Keane, also well-known sean-nós singers. Keane started her singing at a very young age, due to the influence of her musical aunts. Caledonia is a modern Scottish folk ballad written by Dougie MacLean in 1977. The chorus of the song features the lyric "Caledonia, you're calling me, and now I'm going home", the term "Caledonia" itself being a Latin word for Scotland. "Caledonia" has been covered by various artists, and is often dubbed Scotland's "unofficial national anthem". Composition MacLean wrote the song in less than 10 minutes on a beach in Brittany, France, feeling homesick for Scotland.
