Arash Borhani
Arash Borhani ( fa, آرش برهانی ; born 14 September 1983 in Kerman, Iran) is a retired Iranian association football, football player and coach. He is the all-time top goal scorer of Esteghlal F.C., Esteghlal and also the second all-time top goal scorer in Iran's Premier Football League. He was the List of Iranian club football top goal scorers, top goal scorer of 2008–09 Persian Gulf Cup, 2008–09 Iran's Premier Football League. He was also a member of the Iran national football team. Borhani won a bronze medal in Football at the 2006 Asian Games, 2006 Asian Games with Iran national under-23 football team. Club career Pas Having just moved to PAS Tehran F.C., Pas in the Iran's Premier Football league, he helped the club to finish second in the IPL 2002/03, 2002–03 season. 2008–09 Persian Gulf Cup
The 2008–09 Persian Gulf Cup (also known as Iran Pro League) was the 26th season of Iran's Football League and eighth as Iran Pro League since its establishment in 2001. Persepolis were the defending champions. The season featured 15 teams from the 2007–08 Persian Gulf Cup and two new teams promoted from the 2007–08 Azadegan League: Payam Mashhad as champions and Foolad. Damash replaced Pegah. The league started on 4 August 2008 and ended on 26 April 2009. Esteghlal won the Pro League title for the second time in their history (total seventh Iranian title). The Süper Lig (, ''Super League''), officially known as Spor Toto Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons, is a Turkish professional league for association football clubs. It is the top-flight of the Turkish football league system and is run by the Turkish Football Federation. In the 2022–23 season, nineteen clubs compete, where a champion is decided and three clubs are promoted from, and relegated to the 1. Lig. The season runs from August to May, with each club playing 36 matches. Matches are played Friday through Monday. The competition was initially established in 1923. The Primeira Liga (; English: Premier League, also written as Liga Portugal 1), also known as Liga Portugal Bwin for sponsorship reasons, is the top level of the Portuguese football league system.
