Arafat, My Brother
''Arafat, my brother'' (French: ''Arafat, mon frère'') is a 2005 French documentary directed by Palestinian Rashid Masharawi, portraiting the Palestinian physician and Yasser Arafat's brother, Fathi Arafat, to get answers about the future of Palestine. Overview Rashid Masharawi tried to interview the leader of the Palestine Liberation Organization Yasir Arafat for getting answers about the Palestinian's fate. However, he wasn't able to enter Ramallah, and Yasser Arafat wasn't allowed to leave the city. Rashid Masharawi knew Arafat's brother Fathi Arafat, who was the head of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society and was dealing with cancer. Rashid Masharawi
Rashid Masharawi (also: "Rashid Mashrawi") ( ar, رشيد مشهراوي) is a Palestinian film director, born in Gaza in 1962 to a family of refugees from Jaffa. He grew up in the Shati refugee camp. Rashid Masharawi lives and works in Ramallah, where he founded the Cinema Production and Distribution Center in 1996 with the aim of promoting local film productions. He also sponsors a mobile cinema, which allows him to screen films in Palestinian refugee camps. Other projects include the annual Kids Film Festival and major workshops on film production and directing. Rashid Masharawi regularly organises readings and discussion forums at the Al-Matal cultural centre. Fathi Arafat
Fathi Arafat ( ar, فتحي عرفات; January 11, 1933 – December 1, 2004), born in Cairo, was a Palestinian people, Palestinian physician and a founder and long-term chairman of the Palestine Red Crescent Society. He studied medicine at Cairo University from 1950 until 1957 and thereafter practiced as a pediatrician in Cairo, Kuwait and Jordan. He was a younger brother of Palestinian president Yasser Arafat. Arafat became a member of the Palestinian National Council in 1967. From 1968 he was also President of Palestine General Union of Physicians and Pharmacists. He served as Chief Delegate for Palestine to the World Health Organization in Geneva from 1982 onwards. Ramallah

The Palestine Red Crescent Society ( ar, جمعية الهلال الأحمر الفلسطيني, PRCS) was founded in 1968, by Fathi Arafat, Yasser Arafat's brother. It is a humanitarian organization that is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
