Ara Gevorgyan
Ara Gevorgyan ( hy, Արա Գևորգյան, born April 19, 1960) is an Armenian musician, composer and musical producer. In 2004 he was awarded the '' Honorary Artist of the Republic of Armenia'' title by the President Robert Kocharyan. Biography Gevorgyan is the son of Armenian folk-singer Valya Samvelyan. He studied at School #31 of Yerevan and at the A. Tigranyan Musical School at the same time. During the two years he studied at Yerevan #8 college of Fine Arts. From 1983 to 1987 he studied at Armenian State Pedagogical University at the faculty of woodwind instruments and pop music department. In 1987-1989 Gevorgyan taught conducting at the same Institute, then he worked at Armenian Television ("3 Alik" TV program). In 1983 he founded the "Rally" Armenian pop-rock band, the participant of "Song-85" festival. Charles Aznavour
Charles Aznavour ( , ; born Shahnour Vaghinag Aznavourian, hy, Շահնուր Վաղինակ Ազնավուրեան, ; 22 May 1924 – 1 October 2018) was a French-Armenian singer, lyricist, actor and diplomat. Aznavour was known for his distinctive vibrato tenor voice: clear and ringing in its upper reaches, with gravelly and profound low notes. Armenian Music Awards
Armenian Music Awards was an annual music awards ceremony first held at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, California on October 7, 1998. It was created and produced for the first eight years by Peter Bahlawanian who wanted to support Armenian artists and make Armenian culture. The awards consist of several categories of varying 20 to 30 from year to year. Numerous artists perform live throughout the evening. The nominees and winners are decided by a panel of judges who listen to CDs or MP3s online compilations prior to the night of events. There are, however, some categories that are voted by the general public. Votes are cast through online voting locations. Also SMS voting has been introduced in 2007. The categories that are voted by public are Best Song of The Year, Best Duet Song of The Year, and Best Male & Female Artist of The Year. "Artsakh" ( hy, «Արցախ») is an instrumental folk song from Armenian contemporary composer Ara Gevorgyan's 1999 album ''Ani''. The song has become wildly popular in Armenia. Over the years, it has been used in cultural and political events and occasions. Figure skaters, gymnasts, and other athletes around the world have also used the song. Name Artsakh was one of the 15 provinces of the ancient Kingdom of Armenia. Today, Artsakh is still the Armenian name of the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh. Daniel Decker is a Puerto Rican composer, singer and recording artist, who has produced work blending musical influences (classical, jazz, pop and world music) from many cultures. Decker was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. He was raised in Solvay, New York, and was trained at the Crane School of Music in New York. He collaborated with Armenian composer Ara Gevorgian. Pedro Eustache (born August 18, 1959) is a Venezuelan-born flautist, reed player, world woodwind player, composer, and instrument maker. He has more than seven years of symphonic experience and a collection of around 600 instruments from all over the world, many of which having been designed, built and/or modified by himself.
