April (group)
April () was a South Korean girl group formed by DSP Media. The group debuted on August 24, 2015, with their EP '' Dreaming'' and its title track "Dream Candy". The group's final lineup was composed of six members: Chaekyung, Chaewon, Naeun, Yena, Rachel and Jinsol. The group officially disbanded on January 28, 2022. Name The group name is made up of 'A' and 'pril'. 'A' means 'the best girl group' and 'pril' means lovely girls. As combined, 'April' makes the meaning of 'the best, lovely girls'. Also known as 'Sa-wori' (사월이, April), 'Apple' (에플, pun of April) or 'Pril-e' (프릴이, pun of pril). After their debut, fans started calling them 'Chung-jeong-dol' (청정돌, pure idol). ''Prelude'' is the third Korean extended play by South Korean girl group April. It was released on January 4, 2017 by DSP Media and distributed by LOEN Entertainment. It marks the group's first comeback as a six member-group with the addition of Chaekyung and Rachel. Background and release On December 20, 2016, DSP Media confirmed that April would release their third extended play, ''Prelude'' on January 4, 2017. The title of the album ''Prelude'' represent the group's new beginning, with their new line-up consisting of Chaekyung, Chaewon, Naeun, Yena, Rachel and Jinsol. Da Capo (EP)
''Da Capo'' is the seventh and final extended play by South Korean girl group April and their first one since 2018's '' The Ruby''. It was released on April 22, 2020, by DSP Media and distributed by Kakao M. The EP features six tracks, including the lead single "Lalalilala" and the previously released CD-only track "Matter of Time", which is a duet between members Naeun and Jinsol. The physical album is available in two versions: "Glitter" and "Suit", making it the group's first release with more than one version. The EP marks the group's second to last release prior to their disbandment on January 28, 2022.
