Antonín Procházka is a Czech film, television and stage actor, playwright and director. Biography Procházka was born 25 December 1953 in Kroměříž, Czechoslovakia. He studied at the Faculty of Theatre of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. He is husband of actress Štěpánka Křesťanová and father of actor Antonín Procházka jr. ''Capricious Summer'' ( cs, Rozmarné léto) is a 1968 Czechoslovak comedy film directed by Jiří Menzel. It is based on the novel ''Rozmarné léto'' (Summer of Caprice) by the Czech writer Vladislav Vančura. It was listed to compete at the 1968 Cannes Film Festival, but the festival was cancelled due to the events of May 1968 in France. The film won the Crystal Globe at 1968 Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. The film depicts a humorous story of three men, a major (an artillery officer), a priest and a bath-keeper, during rainy summer days. It is revealed that all four of them are in stereotypical marriages. They get drunk, swap partners and exchange keys. A rich aunt comes from Switzerland, and after an awkward lunch with in-laws, a cuckolded husband arrives to punish his wife's infidelity, as well as the wife of an influential official who comes to save what she sees as her daughter's slumming. The plot gets complicated with many misunderstandings, and it can be regarded as a farce. The order is restored happily, even though everyone did not get what they wanted. ''Closely Watched Trains'' ( cs, Ostře sledované vlaky) is a 1966 Czechoslovak film directed by Jiří Menzel and is one of the best-known products of the Czechoslovak New Wave. It was released in the United Kingdom as ''Closely Observed Trains''. It is a coming-of-age story about a young man working at a train station in German-occupied Czechoslovakia during World War II. The film is based on a 1965 novel by Bohumil Hrabal. It was produced by Barrandov Studios and filmed on location in Central Bohemia. Released outside Czechoslovakia during 1967, it won the Best Foreign Language Oscar at the 40th Academy Awards in 1968. Amadeus (play)
''Amadeus'' is a play by Peter Shaffer which gives a fictional account of the lives of composers Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Antonio Salieri, first performed in 1979. It was inspired by Alexander Pushkin's short 1830 play '' Mozart and Salieri'', which Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov used in 1897 as the libretto for an opera of the same name. The play makes significant use of the music of Mozart, Salieri and other composers of the period. The premieres of Mozart's operas ''The Abduction from the Seraglio'', '' The Marriage of Figaro,'' '' Don Giovanni'', and ''The Magic Flute'' are the settings for key scenes.
